Nasozi Kakembo, Creative Director

Nasozi Kakembo holds a Master of Science in Urban Planning with a concentration in International Development from Columbia University. She possesses 15+ years of non-profit management and international development experience and has worked and lived in Uganda, where she has family, several times over the past decade. Nasozi joined the Mukono Foundation after working in various international philanthropies during and after her graduate school career. She founded an artisan-based product development company in 2011, working with African artisans in over 15 countries. She is the author of the upcoming book "African Decor Edit" to be published by Abrams in 2024. She oversees strategic partnerships, inclusive design, and program development at Mukono Foundation.


Stacey Georg, Director of Finance

Stacey Georg is based in Brooklyn, NY, and has gained international experience in Ghana, Niger, Jamaica and beyond. She comes from the Institute of International Education in 2014.  As a Data and Reporting Specialist for the Fulbright Program, Stacey optimizes the efficiency and accuracy of IIE’s grantee tracking capabilities to develop and implement cross-functional workflow processes, meet contractual reporting requirements, and maintain grantee data in compliance with federal regulations.

Prior to joining Mukono and IIE, Stacey was an Associate with Workforce Strategy Center, a national workforce development non-profit. In this role she developed; implemented; and managed multiple, concurrent projects at the national, state, and regional level. She was also responsible for generating grant reports and monitoring compliance with contract and grant deliverables.

Stacey oversees organizational finances, and reviews grants and compliance for the Foundation.


Lamine Hardaway, Board Director and Counsel Advisor

Lamine Hardaway is a Washington, D.C.-based attorney who has an extensive background in public service, as well as private practice. He represented the United States Government in various roles at the U.S. Embassy in Brazil, the US Embassy in France, and also for the Embassy of Liberia in Washington, D.C. He later transitioned from these diplomatic appointments to working for the U.S. Department of Treasury. He currently practices International Trade and Finance in the private sector, and works on pro bono human rights cases, including in Uganda. Lamine advises the Mukono Foundation on matters related to global affairs that influence our strategic growth and investment. Lamine holds a JD and a Master of Arts in International Economic Affairs from George Washington University and Master of Laws (LL.M.) from Goethe University Frankfurt. He is fluent in English and Portuguese and is proficient in German.


Abigail Kramer, Public Affairs Officer

Abigail Kramer is a journalist and researcher specializing in policy issues impacting low-income children, youth and families. Her work has led to significant policy reforms and increased oversight, especially in child welfare, early education, and access to mental health care for children and adolescents. Before turning to journalism and advocacy, she worked for several years with homeless youth and young people involved in the criminal justice system in California. Abigail holds a Bachelor’s in comparative studies in race and ethnicity from Stanford University and a Master’s in journalism from New York University. Her writing has appeared in publications such as Salon.com, ProPublica, Politico New York, City & State and the San Francisco Bay Guardian.
